HUNTING HILLS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING November 16, 2004
|
Acting President Jim Pietrzak called the meeting to order at 7.35 p.m. at Hunting Hills Country Club. He
welcomed everyone and thanked them for participating.
Minutes of the November 11, 2003 General Membership Meeting were approved as distributed.
The 2005 proposed slate of officers to be elected at the January Board Meeting include: President -
George Brammer, President-Elect - Gary Powers, Secetary - Jean Summerbell, and Treasurer - Pam
Ammar. Jim read the 2005 proposed District Representatives listed in the enclosed handout. (Add Pam
Altizer to Piedmont District and Sandi Cole to Scenic District). A motion was made to accept the slate. It
was seconded and passed by acclimation.
Chris Hansen, Hunting Hills Country Club Board Member, spoke on the current status of the Country
Club. The situation is much improved since last year. The new "$200 per month membership plan"
implemented last November has been a huge success with a current membership of 760. 45 new
members from the neighborhood still total only 25% membership from our own community. Capital
improvements include $90,000 heating and air conditioning repairs and roof repairs. The Club hopes to
break even this year - only the second time this has happened in the Club's history - and turn a profit
next year. Chris then answered questions from the audience.
Jim highlighted some committee accomplishments from 2004 such as a large membership increase,
launching of the Neighborhood Watch Program and the Beautification Committee's ongoing work on the
construction of the entrance signs which should be completed next year. George Brammer urged all to
report any threatening or dangerous events to the Association Board so that the neighborhood may be
kept abreast of such happenings.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Kay Allen, Secretary
