Hunting Hills Homeowners Association
HUNTING HILLS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, July 13, 2006
President Jean Summerbell called the meeting to order at 7.30 p.m.

Present:
Present:- Jean Summerbell, Marilyn Harriman, Irene Brock, Joe Lemmer & Whitney Snyder.

Apologies:
Gary Powers, Debbie Melnik, Joan Petrus, Connie Vaughn, Jean Brammer, George Brammer, Beth Mead,
Jim Pietrzak, Pam Altizer & Anna Hudson.

President’s Report:
Jean reported for George that there had been a meeting between Al Williamson of Sign Design & Kathy
Claytor of Delta Dental to discuss a sign on the proposed site that would be 12-18 inches lower than the
originally proposed sign to be located on this site. We are awaiting results of that meeting.

Secretary’s Report:
Jean Summerbell distributed the minutes of the last meeting which were read and approved as written.

Treasurer’s Report:
Marilyn presented the Treasurer’s Report for 30th June 2006. Total cash disbursements as of that date
were and total cash assets are available upon request. The main expenses were for the Directory.
Marilyn reported that the bill for water at the triangle site on Hunting Hills Drive seemed excessive this
year.  Irene will investigate this with the Water Authority.

Committee Reports

Beautification:
Jean reported that John Blazier of All Brite Landscaping had installed the plants purchased from
Greenbrier Nursery as per the design by Doug Jessey of the Greenbrier at the left hand side of Hunting
Hills Drive at the Starkey Road end. The landscaping is a great improvement here but some plants show
some distress due to extremely high temperatures and may need to be replaced in the fall free of
charge from Greenbrier Nursery who warranty their plants for one year.

The grass at the entrance at Rte 220 and Crossbow is being mowed each week for $45.00 by Mr.
Shrewsbury who will be billing the Treasurer each month during the growing season.

Proposals from John Blazier of All Brite Landscaping and Keith Dunbar of Lawn Barber Landscaping
were presented by Jean & Irene. These were discussed in detail and it was decided to accept the
proposal from Keith as he was willing and able to start work by the end of this month with a general
clean up of all the common areas and a continued maintenance service throughout the year for a lower
price. Keith has been maintaining Irene’s yard well for some time and several of our homeowners use
his service. He is well recommended and hopefully all of our homeowners will see a marked
improvement in our landscaping and the maintenance of our common areas.

Jean Summerbell reported that Dr. Okeyo, our horticulturist, has been working on our common areas.
Mulch has been purchased and some plantings. More will be done after the sign is completed. Any
unauthorized signs posted on our common areas will be removed promptly.

Club Liaison:
No report.

Government Liaison:
Joe said there was nothing to report at this time. Unfortunately, by the time he hears of anything
relevant it has usually progressed beyond the point of any intervention by our homeowners association.

Membership Report:
No report from Beth Mead. Whitney will liaise with all the District Representatives to find out when any
new residents move in to their areas so that our welcome package and directory can be delivered in a
timely manner.

Security & Safety Report:

Streets and Lights:
