HUNTING HILLS GARDEN CLUB
The Hunting Hills Garden Club has monthly programs and events that include Guest speakers and hands-on
events. Meetings are the 4th Monday  9:30 social 10:00 Programs, at the Hunting Hills Country Club.

                         2009-2010 Program  Meeting Schedule
         Except where noted, all meetings are held on 4th Mondays at the  
              Hunting Hills Country Club, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
 

TBA                              Garden Club's annual Couples social. Place, Date & Time-Debbie Melnik will
                                     furnish the details.  Stay Tuned!

September 10th:       Special Hands on Workshop for Holiday House - 9:30 to Noon Meet at the
                                     Council

September 18th        General Meeting Cinematic Bouquets at the Council of Garden Clubs. This is a
                                     special event and a departure from our normal meeting date & time. Your
                                     favorite movies depicted in cut arrangements. Event from Noon - 2:00

October 26th             General Meeting Butterflies are free and so are the tips from this expert.
                                   - HHCC 9:30 social 10:00

November 7th          Holiday House. Don' t miss the opportunity for early holiday shopping for
                                   handmade items by our members that will delight any gardener.  Meet at
                                   Roanoke Council Garden Center. For more information contact Joyce Tuggle.

November 30th        Annual Hunting Hills Country Club holiday decorating. Contact Nancy Powers if
                                   you are able to participate. Monday @ 9:30 a.m.

December                 Members Holiday Luncheon Place, Date & Time TBA

January 4th:            It's time for the decorations to be taken down for another year. Monday @ 9:30
                                  a.m. at HHCC.

January 25th:        General Meeting. Your Weirdest Container Challenge. The strangest container
                                will win a prize. This is in combination with the grab bag of flowers. We furnish the
                                flowers you furnish the weird container. This should set the tone for the New Year
                                and get those creative juices flowing! Meet at the Council 9:30 Social.

February 22rd:     General Meeting. Chris Barlow explains garden design and one lucky member will
                                have their garden planned out for them!! We'll tell you more in January.

March 22rd:          General Meeting. A Rose by Any Other Name. Candra Bryson enlightens us on the
                               history of all things Roses. Meet at HHCC 9:30 Social

April 28th:             FUN-d RAISER - A Day of Games. Is Bridge your thing? Canasta? Go Fish? your
                              choice, your table. A great opportunity to bring your friends for a day of FUN that              
                               includes lunch and a fashion show that's everything PINK!

May 24th:             Last General Meeting of the Year. What better place to end the Garden Club year,
                              welcome a new season, a new Board, visit the wildflower garden and have a little
                              lunch with friends 2 and 4 legged. We'll car pool to the Zoo.
