HUNTING HILLS GARDEN CLUB The Hunting Hills Garden Club has monthly programs and events that include Guest speakers and hands-on events. Meetings are the 4th Monday 9:30 social 10:00 Programs, at the Hunting Hills Country Club. | HUNTING HILLS GARDEN CLUB 2010-2011 Program Meeting Schedule Except where noted, all meetings are held on 4th Mondays at the Hunting Hills Country Club, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon. August 30, 2010 Member Luncheon – Dues Renewal – New Members – Pot Luck, Helen McCurdy’s home to 1:30 September 20th: Shopping trip to TFS for ribbon buying. Meat at HHCC at 10:00 a.m. to carpool to TFS to select ribbon for bow making workshop on Sept 27 September 27th Helen McCurdy will demonstrate bow making for wreaths, birthday gifts, etc. October 13th Runway Fashion Show (freebie)! Invite friends to pre-view Fall fashions from Christy’s. Followed by delicious lunch in the Main Dining Room of HHCC. November 6th Don’t miss the opportunity to do early holiday shopping for handmade items by our members that will delight any gardener. Meet at Roanoke Council Garden Center. Monday @ 9:30 a.m. Bruce’s fabulous pizza & salad will be served. December Members Holiday Luncheon Place, Date & Time TBA January 3rd: It's time for the decorations to be taken down for another year. Monday 9:00 a.m. at HHCC. January 24th: We’ll welcome the New Year with a program on Orchids by Irene Brock. February 28th: YUMMO – Diane LaBlanc offers up recipes and tips for cooking with herbs that will soon be growing in our kitchens and gardens. Meet at the Roanoke Council of Garden Clubs building on Colonial Ave. March 28th: Container Gardening: we will make a road trip to a local nursery and dig up all the dirt on secrets of container gardening for indoors and out. April 25th: Butterflies in your garden – how to attract them May 23rd: It’s a surprise.
