Route 273 was corrected to Route 220.  Under New Business the suggestion of a “no outlet” sign
location was changed from Peregrine Crest past Fox Ridge Road to Fox Ridge Road after crossing with
Peregrine Crest.

President’s Report:
The President thanked everyone for reviewing and voting for the proposed by-law changes.  There
were 14 yeas, no nays. The by-laws changes were carried. The amended by-laws are now posted on the
HHHA website.

Our Treasurer Marilyn Harriman asked to be relieved of her office due to work loads at home and work.
Ed Price was elected as our new treasurer.

Treasurer’s Report:
Ed Price reported that he has not as of yet been able to meet with Marilyn Harriman.  He will be able to
use a copy of the Minutes of this meeting to prove to our bank that he is the new treasurer.  We are
behind on a bill to Lawn Barber and Hunting Hills Country Club.  Ed inquired as to how we acquired a bill
for water and was advised that it is for watering the gardens at Hunting Hills Drive and Fox Ridge Road.

Committee Reports

Beautification:
No Report

Club Liaison:
No report.

Government Liaison:
Joe Lemmer reported that VDOT has signed off on the new interstate which is to follow Rt. 220 but the
project is years off and is estimated to cost four billion in current dollars to take the interstate to the
North Carolina border.

The Slate Hill project has no building plan at this time and it is rumored that the owner may want to sell
the property.  The owner has not finalized plans with Lowe’s for a drainage pond.

Wal-Mart‘s new store project is awaiting a judge’s decision but is expected to be approved.

The drainage problem, at the golf course is still there and the country club is to correct this problem.

VDOT has not corrected the drainage problem on Route 220.

There is no information on the possibility of adding two additional lanes to Route 220 in our area.

A developer has purchased land on Buck Mountain Road for the construction of homes which will back
up to Hunting Hills.

The quarry on Route 220 in our area is developing a new roadway to give them better access to Route
220.  When the road is completed screening trees will be planted.

Membership Report:
Beth Mead reported that the directory is coming along.  Our paid membership is 286 which is an
increase from last year and should represent approximately 80% of the homeowners.  When the
directories are ready Beth will need help in stuffing envelopes.

Security & Safety Report:
Whitney Snyder reported that reported incidences can be reviewed on Roanoke County’s web site. Most
incidents happen over Memorial Day when the amusement carnival comes to the Civic Center.
Speeding is still an issue and police continue to monitor with radar.  There is an increase in police calls
when the weather gets warmer and teenagers tend to stay our later and create noise disturbances.

Rick Crozier may speak at our next annual meeting.

Vandalism increases at the Country Club during the summer.

The Roanoke County Police will check homes when the owners are on vacation if requested.

Streets and Lights:
Sandi Cole reported that the county cannot do anything about the fallen brick wall at a home on Archer
Drive.

The county will post a sign stating no access to prevent trucks from turning around in the new section.

The county will not post “no parking” signs at the area around Starkey Road and Hunting Hills Drive.
Sandi has heard nothing back form Bo Willis at Heritage regarding the area.  The trash is being picked
up. A split rail fence will not be built there.

Old Business:
Nothing has been done yet regarding the restoration of the Hunting Hills sign at Starkey Road and
Hunting Hills Drive and the landscaping in this area needs to be done before summer’s heat arrives.
Our President will write a letter to Willis regarding this matter.

New Business:
Whitney Snyder raised the question of leaf collection by Roanoke County.  The county will pick up leaves
if they are bagged.  VDOT will clear drains of leaves if reported.  Otherwise homeowners must contact
individually with commercial providers for this service.

President Gary Powers suggested that we could contract for leaf removal and make this a benefit of
membership.

Gary Powers also suggested that we consider selling advertising space in our next Homeowners
Directory.

Whitney Snyder suggested that we should consider meeting with the other homeowner associations in
our area such as Chateau and Hunting Hills Place, etc. to identify common interests and goals.

Any Other Business:
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, July 11, 2007.

Respectfully submitted

Linda Habermann
Secretary
