Committee Reports

Beautification:
Jean Summerbell and Irene Brock provided  plans and an estimate that were submitted by Greenbrier
Nurseries to landscape the Starkey Road entrance (old sign site).  Total for this landscaping will be just
under $1000.00 for the recommended plantings, installation, topsoil, and mulch.  Motion was passed for
this to be completion of this upgrading of the appearance of this site.  Old Heritage is to be asked to
replace the wooden sign.  Due to quality of work from the VWCC student hired to perform the
landscaping and clean-up on our common areas, other quotes will be obtained to hire someone else.
ENTRANCES
George Brammer informed those present that a temporary sign had been installed at the Starkey Road
entrance as requested by Delta to represent the size the final sign would be.  At this time no further
word has come from Delta as to their acceptance of this size, although a letter has been sent from Willis
at Old Heritage to Delta Dental.  We are waiting to see how Delta proceeds.

Club Liaison:
No report.

Government Liaison:
An email had been distributed prior to the meeting by Mike Lemmer.  No businesses have been
announced as signing on to locate on Slate Hill and work continues on the entrance next to Wendy’s.  A
big box store has optioned nearly all the properties in the Clearbrook area (rumored) but this must still
come before the Planning Commission and the Board for approval.  VDOT is still researching the
possibility of an off ramp from the Parkway and connect to Buck Mt. Rd. to feed into Rt. 220. The land on
Buck Mt. Rd. below Park Place (about 60 acres) was purchased and will be developed with houses but
should not affect HH.

Membership Report:
Beth Mead did an outstanding job on the new directories!  Thank you so much for your effort, Beth! She
stated that there were 315 members of the HHHOA (75% of HH).
